Parent Community
At Los Angeles Family School we believe that pitching in and helping out creates a special community environment for our kids to grow, play, and learn in. For us parents the experience is both rewarding and a way to create lasting friendships. Parents are encouraged to participate in school life by volunteering in ways big and small, from organizing fundraisers to baking cookies for the Friday Bake Sale.

Quarterly Workday
Every quarter the families of LAFS meet and spend the morning working on the school. We complete items such as gardening, adding sand to the play area, building, cleaning toys and a lot of scrubbing. Our children are so excited on Monday after a workday and can point to the things their parent worked on during the weekend. It's also a great time for the parents to spend some time together as well.

Annual Events
Parents are instrumental in working with teachers and staff to put together annual fundraising events. Many of these, such as the Spring Faire, Silent Auction, Sample Sale, Rummage Sale, and Halloween Spooktacular are open to the local community, so please check our site to save the dates and drop by for some family fun.
